What is a company to do when they find themselves the victim off blackmail? What if the blackmailers are charged criminals posing as an anti crime organization? CDT finds itself in the position of being coerced for a payoff in exchange for not being a victim of unwarranted slander. CDT had one thing going in their favor; this particular criminal organization falls under a particular category of wrong doers, “Stupid Criminals”! It is one thing to launch a public smear campaign on a company, then attempt to blackmail them in private. But to make your demands on a taped conversation (Scroll down to listen.) and reiterate those demands in writing is foolish and will be the undoing of this criminal element. CDT, a wholesaler of loose diamonds and diamond jewelry, were aghast when they started hearing rumors that they were being slammed on the internet as a fraudulent company and pyramid scheme. At first disbelief set in. How could anyone look at a company who has dedicated itself to providing thousands of people around the world with a means to change their lives and enhance their lifestyles a sham? Why would anyone blatantly start such vile rumors?

Thus the company investigated these wild allegations. Upon researching the posts on various sites on the internet they found a sprinkling of comments easily attributed to misguided beliefs that CDT was just another cookie cutter operation. But what the investigation yielded is that amongst the static, one name stood out; David Thornton! This man alone was responsible for over 90% of the negative posts put on the internet about CDT. Who is this David Thornton, and what is his motivation behind the attacks on the company with the largest diamond marketing force in the world?

A slightly unhinged pensioner with bitterness towards the world labors away in his friend’s basement where he lives; pounding away on his computer posting salacious diatribes about his perceived enemies all over the internet.

At first glance you might be of the impression that Mr. Thornton is an upstanding citizen fighting for the little guy. Upon closer observation you will find a pathetic and broken man railing against anyone in society he deems responsible for his failures and subsequent misery. David Thornton, Glory hound and president of the pseudo non-profit organization Crime Busters Now will resort to any form of slander or attack and will only stop if you bow to his brand of extortion. Everyone is the scapegoat for David’s brand of misery. Companies that allow you to earn extra income, the justice system and all governmental systems are the people he feels is responsible for his inability to keep his family together.

David Thornton’s new object of attack is Canadian Diamond Traders, an innovative
Diamond wholesaler who has developed an amazing Diamond Trading Program for the express purpose of helping the average person to afford beautiful diamonds and make an income based on marketing the diamonds. When asked why the Diamond Trading Program was so revolutionary, the Directors of the company stated “We had a choice, we could pay advertising companies large sums of money to spread the word about our company locally or nationally or we could use the power of our satisfied customers to spread the word about our company around the world, compensating them for providing us with a great service. It is a win-win situation for us as a diamond wholesaler and for our satisfied customers”.

When asked how they found themselves on David Thornton’s hit list. The Directors said “At first we were of the impression that this was an ill informed individual who made the mistake of believing our company was something that it’s not. We thought someone had just confused our company and its practices for another company’s. Then we realized this person truly has it out for us! We needed to have a sit down with him and find out why. So we invited him to our office to talk to him and try to flush things out in a mature manor.”

The meeting with David Thornton proved to be enlightening; the real motives behind his vile internet tirades became apparent when he started asking for money in exchange for his silence. Is that what all the negativity and attacks on the internet are about: a pay off? How many others has he attempted to milk for money?

During the meeting with the CDT’s Director of Research and Development, David was educated on the inner workings of the company, how it differed from other businesses, and why it was legal. Unable to humble himself and admit that he was wrong about the things he had written about CDT, he presented this offer: If CDT gives him a couple thousand dollars he will admit defeat and work on CDT’s behalf. Who is the criminal now? In both an email to CDT and on a phone call David said “Why don’t we quietly do this? You take me to court, sue me, and I’ll agree with your side. You guarantee me $200,000 if I lose, and I’ll come on board with you.” Never mind that on his own website he is asking people on mass for donations to buy a minivan to drive around in with ‘Crime Busters Now’ on the side, the man who is leeching money off of the little guy for his asinine crusade now thinks he has a bigger fish on the hook.

David, who was once charged for the attempted rape and physical assault of his ex-wife, allegedly attacking her because she was a part of a business opportunity and who later left him; is unable to continue the battle with her, and so he has taken the battle against everyone that believes in freedom. David can often be heard giving long ego enriching speeches about his glory days when he interrupted the business practices of other companies most notably TTI, a now defunct company, once run by Allen Kippax. His claim to fame is having brought down this already failing company in court. Upon further investigation this turns out to be false and misleading delusions of grandeur.

So what does a megalomaniac on a pension really do with his time? He deflects money from legitimate companies, business, and not for profit organizations by bullying them for what he calls “Donations”. Online panhandling has risen over the past decade; it is not surprising that online extortion should take hold also. That’s right David Thornton is an extortionist; he slanders and defames the companies in question all over the internet taking calls from concerned people who believe he is a true crime buster. Like a vampire, he bleeds them of their hard earned money that would have been better off if invested in themselves.
