CLIP 1
DT: Hi, Dave here.
J: Hi is that David Thornton?
DT: Yes.
J: Hi, this is J. Waterman from CDT, how are you today?
DT: Good. You-You’re J.? J. Waterman?
J: Yes, this is J. Waterman. Are you surprised that I’m calling?
DT: I’m sorry?
J: Surprised that I’m calling you?
DT: Yeah, I’m surprised that you’re the top guy calling me, yeah.
J: ok, good. Anyways, I’m sure you know the reason for my call. We sent you an email with regards to a number of posts that you’ve done on the internet.
DT: Right.
J: A number of them are misleading and false. And I just wanted to make a few clarifications with you to making a decision as to what you want us to do.
DT: Ok.
J: Now my purpose in calling you is to somewhat help you and guide you and differentiate our businesses and our business and our practices from some of the other businesses that you compare us to. Now you’ve made a number of posts on the internet such as us targeting communities. Can I ask you where you got that information from, how we actually target these individuals?
DT: Well, I saw one of your websites that says attention all students, for a one time fee of $100 you can make 3000%, it’s very easy to do and you can pay your way through college or words to that effect.
J: Right. Now was that website address cdtforever.com or candiamonds.com?
DT: Well I don’t know but it’s affiliated with your whole program.
J: Alright, this is what I can tell you that I’m making the assumption that you made most of your misleading and false information to the public based on further misleading and false information that you received from other websites. And what I can tell you is that we’ve never targeted any specific group in any of our marketing campaigns.
J: Did you ever take the time to read our website? Or our corporate website?
DT: Well, I’m not sure.
J: Have you actually investigated the value of our diamonds?
DT: No.
